Lorraine Bearryman, the founder of Scholarhouse Music Service trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before attending Bath Spa University where she obtained a first class honours degree specialising in composition. She then returned to the Guildhall to teach and also began to set up Scholarhouse.

Scholarhouse Music Service has always been based in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. Students and Clients tend to be children and adults living in the local and surrounding areas. They mainly come from Essex and East London. Scholarhouse Music Service has been established for 11 years. The business comprises Scholarhouse Music for Learning, Scholarhouse Music for Therapy and the Scholarhouse Music for Special Occasions.

Lorraine manages most of the workload herself but on occasion invites specialists to work with her.

Scholarhouse aims to provide a touching musical service that will help to promote positivity on the journey through life.
