Lorraine Bearryman teaching music

Lorraine is a highly experienced teacher of music. She has worked in state and private schools. She is calm, thought provoking, encouraging and fun to work with. Students having music lessons will also benefit from many aspects of music therapy. (Please see music therapy for a list of benefits). Lorraine’s main aim is to provide an enjoyable experience in the comfortable setting of her own home. Lorraine is a patient and caring teacher who can relate well to children and adults of all ages. The areas of teaching offered are listed below:
Instrumental Teaching
Instrumental teaching generally takes place on a one-to-one basis. Instruments that can be studied are: Piano, Keyboard, French horn, Trumpet, Baritone horn, Euphonium, Voice and Recorder. Group rhythm workshops are also available.
Theory and Composition
These aspects of music can be taught in conjunction with an instrument or separately. Group or one-to-one tuition is appropriate.
Musical Appreciation
Students analyse their favourite music in these relaxed, informal sessions. Examples of music studied are The Strokes, Coldplay, Nina Simone, and Beethoven.

Students are able to study for fun, or can work towards associated board exams where applicable.
